Financials

Read Meldsy financials

Understand revenue, marketplace fees, material costs, production costs, and frozen historical totals.

Filters, status, and listing selection change the totals

Financials uses the selected store, date range, and imported orders. Canceled orders remain visible in Closed orders for reference but are excluded from financial report totals. If an order contains an excluded listing, Meldsy also leaves the entire order out of the report, including both its revenue and costs.

Know the components

Meldsy Financials page with reporting-period filters and summary cards for sales, profit, margin, and payout.
Confirm the reporting scope before interpreting revenue, estimated profit, margin, and marketplace payout.
  • Revenue comes from marketplace order data.
  • Marketplace fees and adjustments depend on what the connected marketplace exposes.
  • Material and packing costs come from listing setup and recorded inventory costs.
  • Production costs come from the listing’s Meldsy setup.

Why older order costs do not change

After an order’s costs are frozen, later recipe or material-price changes do not recalculate that order. Use the current listing setup for new work and the frozen values when reviewing older orders.

Read listing rankings and charts

Use the ranking tabs to compare units, gross sales, profit, lowest profit, or margin. Profit rankings include only listings whose included orders have complete estimates. The performance chart groups gross sales and estimated profit across the selected period.

Use the same dates and filters when comparing reports

Check the store, currency, order status, refunds, and date range before comparing Meldsy with a marketplace report. Marketplace payout reports may use settlement dates instead of order dates, so their totals will not always match an order-based report exactly.
