Configure workflow steps

Rename the production stages your team sees and hide optional middle steps without disrupting existing orders.

Choose the stages your team needs

Every workflow starts at New and ends at Ready to Ship. Rename the stages to match your process, and hide any middle stages you do not use.

  • New and Ready to Ship cannot be hidden.
  • Hidden stages can be turned back on later.
  • Renaming a stage does not remove existing order history.

Edit the production timeline

  1. Open Settings, then Production timeline.
  2. Rename each step using language your team recognizes.
Meldsy Production timeline settings with six editable workflow steps and visibility controls.
Rename the six stages and hide optional middle steps without changing the required endpoints.
  3. Choose Shown or Hidden for optional middle steps.
  4. Save the timeline.

How hidden stages affect open orders

An open order moves to the next stage that is still visible. Hiding a stage does not erase its history, and you can turn the stage back on later.

Review the result on an order

  1. Open Orders after saving the timeline.
  2. Open an active order and confirm the visible sequence.
A sample open order card showing the configured production stages.
Confirm the saved names and visible stages on an active order before your team relies on them.
  3. Move a suitable order forward only when the real work reaches that stage.
