Read the forecast columns
Materials shows inventory on hand, quantity committed to open orders, blended monthly use, projected days remaining, average cost, and any shortage warning.

- Open orders reserve the material amounts in their listing recipes.
- Average monthly use comes from closed-order history.
- Days left is a trend estimate, not a promise.
- A low-confidence label means there is not yet enough closed-order history for a strong trend.
Set the supplier window
Edit the material and enter one combined number of days for supplier lead time plus the safety buffer you want on hand. Meldsy alerts at the greater of one week or this combined window.

Mark a purchase as ordered
Incoming quantity is counted on its expected date, which prevents repeated warnings to order the same material.
- Open the material’s actions and choose Mark ordered.
- Enter the supplier, ordered quantity, expected date, and any purchase or tracking note.

Add the expected date so the forecast can account for inventory already on its way. - Save the incoming inventory entry.
Receive or cancel incoming inventory
Expand the material to see incoming purchases. Choose Receive when the shipment arrives; Meldsy opens the inventory form so you can record its actual quantity and cost. Choose Cancel when the order will not arrive.
Act on Overview alerts
From an inventory alert, record inventory that has arrived, mark a purchase as ordered, snooze the warning for seven days, or dismiss the current warning.
