Before enabling sync
- Both storefront listings must be linked to represent the same item.
- They must represent the same pool of sellable marketplace inventory.
- Each variation must have one unambiguous partner on the other marketplace.
- Both marketplace connections need permission to update inventory.
Enable automatic quantity sync
- Open the listing’s actions and choose Link or manage listings.
- Under Marketplace quantities, turn on Sync quantities automatically.
- Choose which store supplies the starting quantities.

Enable syncing, then choose the storefront that supplies the starting quantity. - Review or correct the variation mapping, then save.
How changes propagate
Meldsy checks the latest quantity in each store before updating the linked listing. A confirmed sale or quantity change is then carried across, and regular follow-up checks cover delayed updates.
Manual quantity edits are different
Edit quantities sends the exact whole-number values you enter to the selected marketplace listings. It is useful for a deliberate correction, but it does not enable ongoing synchronization and it never substitutes the Can Make estimate.

When sync pauses
If both sides change in a way Meldsy cannot reconcile safely, writes pause for that linked listing pair while other pairs continue.
- Open the linked-listing settings and read the last sync message.
- Refresh both stores to confirm their current quantities.
- Fix permissions or variation mappings if requested.
- Choose the intended source quantity and save again.
Selection can disable sync
Excluding either listing from Meldsy disables the linked quantity-sync pair. Restoring the listing preserves its setup but does not automatically re-enable inventory writes.
