Use filament in a listing
Open a listing, choose Set materials, and add an exact synced color or a parent filament family with the estimated grams used by one item. A family is only a recipe and cost shortcut; Bambuddy still tracks each spool and color separately.

Choose the actual color after production
On the order’s post-production step, Meldsy can suggest a color from the marketplace variation. Review or replace the suggestion so inventory reflects what was really used.
Choose how filament families are grouped
In the Bambuddy connection, turn family choices on when listings should select a family first and the exact color on each order. Choose the grouping strategy that matches how your spool names and attributes are maintained.

- With family choices on, a listing can use a family or one specific synced color.
- With family choices off, listings select only specific colors.
- Changing the grouping updates the available family choices; it does not combine the physical inventory of separate colors or spools.
Add a spool from Meldsy
Open Materials, filter by Synced filament, and choose Add Bambuddy spool. Meldsy holds the request until the local bridge creates the spool in Bambuddy and syncs the new inventory back.

When a snapshot is stale or access is revoked
Meldsy keeps the last synced filament amounts and mappings visible so listing recipes remain understandable. Treat those values as reference only until the bridge reconnects and a fresh snapshot arrives.
Estimate from a completed print
From a listing’s material setup, choose Select from Bambuddy print history. Search the 50 most recent completed prints, select the job, and enter how many items it made. Meldsy calculates editable grams per item.
Update the bridge container
Keep a private copy of your Compose file or full Docker command before updating. Compose users can pull and recreate the service. Regular Docker users must keep the same Bambuddy URL, API key, Meldsy connection ID, connection key, and custom options.
docker compose pull meldsy-bambuddy-bridge
docker compose up -d --force-recreate meldsy-bambuddy-bridge
docker compose logs --tail 50 meldsy-bambuddy-bridge
