1. Who is responsible
Meldsy is operated by its independent application developer. When Meldsy processes Etsy Member information for a seller, it does so only to provide the seller-facing features described here.
2. Information Meldsy handles
- Account information: your account identifier, email address, and optional display name.
- Etsy connection information: Etsy user and shop IDs, shop name, granted scopes, and encrypted access and refresh tokens.
- Seller-authorized Etsy data: your shop's listings, orders, items, variations, quantities, relevant order notes, dates, totals, payments, fees, and seller-paid shipping details.
- Information you add: materials, suppliers, stock lots, quantities, costs, packing rules, production costs, workflow choices, shipping adjustments, and other workspace settings.
- Service records: sync times, errors, queue state, workflow events, and policy acceptance records.
The Data Use Disclosure gives a more detailed category-by-category explanation.
3. How information is used
Meldsy uses information to authenticate sellers, isolate each workspace, connect a seller-authorized Etsy shop, display and refresh shop data, support production and packing work, maintain seller-created cost records, and calculate operational profit and margin estimates.
Meldsy does not use Etsy Member data for advertising, unsolicited marketing, sale to data brokers, cross-shop profiling, or training machine-learning or artificial-intelligence models.
4. Service providers and disclosure
Information is processed by the providers needed to run Meldsy, including authentication, hosting, database infrastructure, and Etsy's API and OAuth services. Meldsy does not disclose seller or buyer information to advertising platforms.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
5. Storage and retention
Application data is separated by the authenticated seller's account. Etsy tokens are encrypted at rest. Meldsy retains Etsy content only while reasonably needed to provide the service and meet legal, security, or recordkeeping requirements.
When disconnecting Etsy, a seller can remove the stored authorization and choose whether to keep previously synced records or permanently delete Etsy-originated orders, listings, financials, shop sections, sync history, and related mappings.
6. Security
Meldsy uses HTTPS, scoped read-only Etsy permissions, encrypted OAuth tokens, authenticated-user ownership checks, and access-controlled infrastructure. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
7. Your choices
You can use Meldsy without connecting Etsy, revoke Meldsy's authorization through Etsy, or disconnect Etsy inside Meldsy. For questions or requests, use the contact form.
8. Changes
Meldsy is a business tool for sellers and is not directed to children. Material changes to this policy will be identified by a new update date and may require renewed acceptance.
