Connections & sync

Reconnect or disconnect a store

Restore expired permissions, understand reconnection prompts, and disconnect without confusing stored data with marketplace data.

Reconnect when access changes

A marketplace can expire or revoke access, or require new permissions. Use Reconnect on the existing shop card so Meldsy can keep the shop identity and resume updates.

  1. Open Settings, then Connections.
  2. Find the affected shop and choose Reconnect.

Use Reconnect on the existing shop so Meldsy can verify the same marketplace identity.
  3. Sign in to the same marketplace shop and approve the requested permissions.
  4. Return to Meldsy and run a refresh.

Quantity sync may need additional permission

Reading orders and writing inventory are different permissions. If linked quantity sync reports that inventory write access is missing, reconnect the relevant marketplace and approve the updated access before retrying.

Choose what to keep when disconnecting

Disconnecting removes Meldsy’s stored authorization and stops future updates. It does not close the marketplace shop or change its listings.

  1. Open Settings, then Connections, and select the connected store.
  2. Choose Disconnect.
  3. Choose Disconnect only to keep previously synced records stored but hidden until you reconnect, or choose Disconnect and delete data to permanently remove the store’s synced orders, listings, financials, sync history, and related mappings.

Choose whether Meldsy should retain the store’s synced records or permanently delete them before disconnecting.
  4. Review open orders and linked listings with quantity sync enabled, then confirm the choice.
  • Materials, inventory, and supplier history, instruction sets, print bundle settings, and workflow setup are kept with either choice.
  • Reconnect later to show retained records again and resume refreshes.
  • Deleting store data cannot be undone. A later reconnect can import current marketplace data, but deleted mappings and historical records cannot be restored.
